In an effort to aid you in the Admissions Process, we are addressing some of the most common questions that we receive regarding the admissions process. If your question is not answered or you have others, please reach out to the Early Learning Center Director, Gabby Roffey.

Families should begin their application in the Fall, the year before they wish to enroll. The application portal opens on October 1.

A complete application means the following items have been submitted:

  • Application
  • Application Fee
  • 1:1 with the Early Learning Center Director
  • Additional items, if applicable:
    • Recommendation: from the student's current early learning teacher
    • Family Participation Form: for students coming from preschool, private school, or daycare

Yes, once we are fully operational. However, this first year, we cannot offer tours during the application process. Once construction is complete, we will host an Open House for all enrolled families before the “First Day” of school.

Yes, we offer an information night, and all families will meet with the director during the application process.

No. However, we encourage families to contact the ELC Director to inquire about possible space.

Initial notification emails are sent in mid-March. Families have seven days post-offer to accept, including signing contracts and paying the enrollment deposit.

When an applicant is considered a good fit for our program but space is unavailable, the applicant is placed in the wait pool. Typically, we offer placement to students in the wait pool within the first two weeks to one month after notification. Occasionally, an opening may occur in late spring or summer, so it is important to keep us informed of your continued interest in St. Joseph School.

Yes! St. Joseph School is committed to an economically diverse student body. Therefore, we provide financial assistance to families on the basis of need. Awards are available to qualified students who have submitted all the required documents by the stated deadline.

We aim to prepare all students for enrollment in the K-8 program at St. Joe’s, but students will still need to apply for admission.

St. Joseph is committed to being accessible to students from all socio-economic backgrounds. If tuition assistance is needed for any ELC program, please indicate that on your application, and we will contact you directly with the next steps.

We invite rising 6th-8th grade students who have completed an application to campus to spend a day with us. We will reach out in January to schedule those visits.

Yes, the preschool and pre-k programs can extend the day from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Additional fees apply.

Our infant and toddler programs are year-round, and the preschool and pre-k programs follow the K-8 academic year. All programs will take time off for the following:

  • Thanksgiving (one week)
  • Christmas (two weeks)
  • Mid-winter (one week, usually around Presidents Day)
  • Easter (one week, starting the Monday after Easter)
  • Two weeks at the end of June

The Academic Year follows the school calendar of our K-8 program*. All scheduled days off are the same. The year-round program will take the aforementioned breaks but run through the summer.

*The inaugural year, the ELC will open for all programs after Labor Day.

Ultimately, yes, but not until 2026. Stay tuned for more information about dates and fees.

The school year ends mid-June

Families provide all meals and formula for their enrolled child(ren). Our kitchen is not designed to produce meals for the number of students/children/staff enrolled in the program. We will provide afternoon snacks.
